META-LEVEL FEEDBACK SYSTEM™.
What distinguishes us from any other company offering traditional simulation or role-play is our unique Meta-Level Feedback System™. We perfected this mapping system from years of working experience, inviting our clients to give us “feedback on our feedback.” We believe the most powerful form of feedback is immediate, feeling-based, accurate, specific and actionable.

We extensively invest in and support our people with a comprehensive training program which they coin "Simulator Boot Camp". Each new simulator is trained on every aspect of feedback knowledge and delivery including:

1) PWI’s Terminology
Our simulators learn to engage with the learner while simultaneously framing, grouping and capturing essential dialogue in writing. This provides accurate and balanced feedback, focused on observed behaviours and specific skills, ensuring objectivity. It is always delivered from the character’s point of view.

2) Character Study
Our simulators are also trained on the behaviours, affects and other demographics of each character. These characters offer non-verbal and verbal cues that provide opportunities for varied responses during the simulation. They understand when and how to challenge or reward the learner during the simulation then accurately mirror these responses in their feedback.

3) PWI’s Mapping System

General forms of feedback limit the potential for learning and encourage subjective and assumptive language. Conversely, our Meta-Level Feedback System™ is both emotional and skill-based. Our simulators are experts at delivering this type of balanced feedback.

We capture the words and actions of the learner in writing during the simulation in order to link relevant behaviours and skills directly to the learning points.

The learner is also given feedback on the emotional journey of the character during their interaction. This heightens the learner’s awareness of how their words and actions impact others.
